About the role
This role involves assisting in the research, characterization, and product development of power supply solutions for automotive applications.
What you'll do
- Support the design of power supplies for automotive applications, including specification definition, design calculations, schematic capture, board layout, component selection/evaluation, and testing/characterization.
- Perform applications-level characterization of new IC products.
- Conduct low and high voltage evaluation of power electronic components.
- Provide design support and technical advice to customers.
- Create technical documentation for Application Notes or Datasheets.
- Collaborate with automotive and industrial groups such as Business Development, Marketing, ASIC Development, Operations, and Quality Department.
What you'll need
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Good understanding of Power Electronics or basic electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in technical report writing.
- Very good command of spoken and written English.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel to support customers.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the operation of basic switch-mode power converters such as flyback, buck, or boost regulators with some experience in actual design.
- Experience in board-level analog or mixed-signal electronics design, implementation, testing, and characterization.
