Join our Advanced Technology Integration (ATI) group to validate Automotive and Industrial SoC designs.
About the role
As an Applications Validation & Verification (AVV) Engineer, you will take a top-down holistic approach to validating our Automotive and Industrial SoC designs. You will design, create, and execute tests mimicking end-user applications on pre-silicon emulation platforms and real silicon.
What you'll do
- Evaluate SoC designs with Systems Experts to determine key targets for V&V.
- Design and document test plans for SoCs.
- Create tests using C with some assembly, with support from scripting languages.
- Debug tests and designs on pre-silicon emulation platforms.
- Repeat test execution and debugging on real silicon.
- Work cross-functionally with design and other validation teams to ensure all tests pass.
- Document results, issues encountered, flows used, and tools created.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, ECE, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
- 5 years engineering experience working with silicon design and/or validation.
- Experience with digital/embedded design on emulation/FPGA platforms/RTL Sim.
Nice to have
- Proficient in C/C++ programming.
- Advanced knowledge of computer architectures, especially those related to DDR interfaces and associated system interconnects.
- Advanced knowledge of digital logic.
- Intermediate knowledge of hardware design languages.
- Experience with embedded systems debugging.
- Experience debugging with digital waveforms.
- Experience working with DDR (4/5/LP4/LP5) interfaces in both pre- and post-silicon.
- Experience with caching and coherency validation.
- Experience with pre-silicon power measurement.
- Proficient in assembly programming.
- Experience with DSPs, especially C6x/C7x.
- Experience with TI SoCs.
- Proficient in automation/scripting using regular expressions.

How we counted: 397 open Post-Silicon Validation (Silicon Validation) roles from 62 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 11 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Silicon Validation & Test family row.
