About the role
This role involves providing applications engineering support for Synopsys sign-off tools, including PrimeTime, PrimeShield, PrimeClosure, and PrimePower, to help customers resolve timing, power, and sign-off issues for their semiconductor designs.
What you'll do
- Support customer tape-outs using PrimeTime, PrimeShield, PrimeClosure, and PrimePower to resolve timing, power, and sign-off issues.
- Drive adoption of new features through beta programs and proof-of-concept flows.
- Debug complex customer designs, reproduce issues, and collaborate with R&D for solutions.
- Capture customer requirements to propose product enhancements for sign-off accuracy, performance, or usability.
- Create and deliver technical training sessions, presentations, and demos.
- Collaborate with local and global applications engineering teams to share knowledge and escalate technical issues.
- Review product documentation and provide feedback for accuracy and relevance.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor design with expertise in static timing analysis, power analysis, or physical design sign-off.
- Strong working knowledge of PrimeTime.
- Proven ability to debug timing and power issues in complex SoC or ASIC designs.
- Solid scripting skills in Tcl, Python, or Perl.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical support, field applications, or consulting capacity.
- Ability to communicate complex technical tradeoffs clearly.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.
