About the role
The Applications Engineer Rotation Program is a 24-month program designed to build expertise in customer design support across mixed-signal audio devices. The program comprises three rotations, including two assignments in applications engineering and one technical rotation in an interacting functional group.
What you'll do
- Provide direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers and field personnel.
- Develop reference designs, demonstration platforms, demo-boards, and reference-design manuals.
- Author application notes, white papers, and technical documentation.
- Develop firmware and RTL modules for customer reference and demonstration.
- Implement customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis.
- Collaborate with IC Design Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Validation Engineers to define design requirements and customer use cases.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Verilog, C, Python, MATLAB, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, or spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to access technical data without an export license under applicable export control restrictions.

- Mixed-signal hardware background.
- Audio-related engineering background.
