About the role
The Principal Applications Engineer provides expert engineering support for high-speed (GHz) analog ICs used in optical media access and signal transport.
What you'll do
- Specialize in High-Performance Analog ICs and provide expert-level engineering support to customers, sales, FAEs, and marketing. - Collaborate with design engineering to produce product documentation and applications collateral. - Solve challenging customer and product issues through hands-on lab work and technical analysis. - Conduct test measurements, analyze data, and summarize results to support marketing, sales, and customers.
What you'll need
- BSEE or similar degree with 10 years of experience in a related position. - Experience building 100G and 200G QSFP28 Single Mode and Multi-Mode optical transmission modules and working with associated standards. - Experience with high performance analog applications. - Lab experience with test and measurement instruments, including sampling and real-time oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, and Bit Error testers.
Nice to have
- MSEE degree or equivalent experience. - Background in Design, Product, Evaluation, or Test Engineering in a mixed signal or analog environment.
