onsemi is seeking an Applications Engineer for DC-DC converter applications.
About the role
This role involves product definition, application validation during new product development (NPD), and customer technical support for power management products, particularly DC-DC converter applications.
What you'll do
- Provide technical customer support for power management products including converters, controllers, and drivers.
- Utilize cross-functional teams such as Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering.
- Support onsemi’s customer apps and FAEs for escalated issues.
- Create and present product training material to FAE and Sales teams.
- Author and publish application notes and knowledge-based articles.
- Create customer-facing collateral including EVB, GUI, User Guide, model, design aid, and datasheet.
- Validate new products for application functionality on the bench.
What you'll need
- BSEE or MSEE with a focus on power electronics.
- 5 to 10+ years minimum professional experience with switching power converters, controllers, and drivers.
- Proficient with simulation tools, especially SIMPLIS.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout experience, Altium preferred.
- Effective circuit debug skills in an engineering lab.

- Bench test equipment automation development
