About the role
This Analytical Quality Engineering Co-Op will support the Lab Harmonization Initiative by evaluating current quality-system practices across MS analytical laboratories and identifying opportunities to improve standardization, cross-site visibility, and data-driven review workflows.
What you'll do
- Assess naming conventions used for work instructions, MSA refreshes, validation documents, and quality records.
- Identify inconsistencies and opportunities for alignment across documentation, LTS, internal audit, and KPI tracking practices.
- Develop a documentation standardization framework with examples, naming rules, and implementation considerations.
- Assess internal auditing practices across MS sites and identify opportunities to standardize audit documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Evaluate potential AI-assisted workflow opportunities, such as data review and validation workflows.
- Partner with analytical quality, laboratory, MQE, and cross-site stakeholders to translate findings into recommendations.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or demonstrated interest in basic chemistry, analytical chemistry, statistics, data analysis, quality systems, process improvement, or technical documentation.
- Basic statistical analysis and interpretation of data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work through large sets of documents or data and identify patterns.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness to learn analytical quality processes and apply structured problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Interest in Power BI, AI tools, LIMS, document management systems, or workflow automation.
