About the role
This Analytical Organic Lab Co-Op role supports the evaluation of liquid filtration and purification products through hands-on experimental work in the Metrology Laboratories.
What you'll do
- Conduct organic analysis using GC-MS, Pyrolysis-GC-MS, LC-MS, G-NVR, and TOC. - Analyze test results and provide recommendations for optimizing testing methods. - Maintain accurate records and document new testing methods. - Present project progress in group meetings. - Develop and validate new methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic impurities. - Build internal library/database with LC-QToF for unknown compound identification.
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience working in a chemistry laboratory. - Experience handling chemicals, operating laboratory instrumentation, and generating, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. - Ability to thrive in a laboratory environment and effectively manage multiple priorities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Must be a currently enrolled student.
Nice to have
- Foundational knowledge of organic chemistry and organic analytical techniques. - Experience with analytical instrumentation such as GC-MS, LC-MS, and HPLC.
