About the role
This role is for a hardware and silicon validation intern focused on analog validation of amplifiers and high-speed circuits that drive optical electronic devices and receivers.
What you'll do
- Set up and run electrical lab measurements on analog and communication circuits.
- Use lab instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer) and create automated test code to remotely collect data.
- Document test procedures and results, and present conclusions in weekly meetings.
- Understand and improve Python automation code to cover all test cases.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, with an expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Solid foundation in analog circuit design fundamentals.
- Interest in lab-based measurement work testing electronic chips and photonic integrated circuits.
- Methodical approach to problem-solving, able to debug hardware issues and trace them back to root-cause circuit behavior.
- Strong data presentation skills.
- Strong interest in writing automation scripts in Python.
- Familiarity with test environment tools such as Git, Confluence, and Jira.
