About the role
This role performs monthly and quarterly close activities for Equipment revenue, cost of sales, division expense, and related balance sheet accounts.
What you'll do
- Execute monthly and quarterly close activities for Equipment revenue, cost of sales, division expense, and related balance sheet accounts.
- Review business deals and ensure accounting transactions align with established procedures and policy.
- Interface with internal stakeholders including Sales, Order Management, Business Unit, and local and HQ Finance to provide accounting support.
- Participate in projects focused on system enhancement, integration, and process changes for operational efficiency.
- Partner with Sales and PSE teams to support headcount and expense forecasting, and prepare ad-hoc reports as required.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree or above.
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting role.
- USGAAP accounting knowledge.
- Strong Excel skills to perform accounting analysis.
- Business level written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve accounting processes, or commitment to developing these skills.
Nice to have
- Experience and knowledge in revenue recognition.
- Work experience in a multinational company.
- Experience with SAP and BlackLine.
