About the role
This role involves supporting Product Development Engineers in characterization and building production test programs for AMD microprocessors.
What you'll do
- Support Product Development Engineers in characterization and production test program development.
- Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage, and meet target goals for production ramp.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain technical documents.
- Debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for AMD microprocessors.
- Participate in product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a US-based university in an undergraduate degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge/experience with C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell script, Java, or similar.
- Knowledge/experience with GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS, or similar.
- Knowledge/experience with XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban programming paradigms.
- Knowledge/experience with logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and debug.
- Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics.
- Courses in computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, computer architecture.
