About the role
TSMC Arizona’s Yield Enhancement Department is responsible for defect reduction, yield improvement, and inspection methodology excellence.
What you'll do
- Identify potential yield-limiting defect sources and define defect reduction roadmaps for programs and related modules. - Use statistical process control principles to sustain production line health and prevent defect-induced excursion events. - Work with module engineers to design and execute experiments, eliminate process and station defect sources, and extract results from complex data sets. - Install, qualify, and sustain inline inspection and review equipment to expand inline defect detection capabilities. - Collaborate with integration and process organization partners to identify technology gaps and qualify continuous improvement solutions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or Material Science. - Experience with bright field, darkfield, and Ebeam defect metrology tool usage. - Experience using defect metrology tools inline to monitor and detect integrated and process tool shifts in a high-volume 24/7 manufacturing fab. - Experience working with process integration and equipment teams to drive improvements. - Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
