About the role
This role involves supporting front-end and back-end yield applications and methodologies for wafer fab and assembly/test operations, and quality organizations.
What you'll do
- Partner with IT to improve material tracking, data quality, and analysis of yield and manufacturing data.
- Work with IT and yield solutions software vendors to define onsemi analytics requirements and align upgrades.
- Design, implement, and improve software solutions supporting manufacturing goals like quality improvement and scrap reduction.
- Gather reporting requirements to create static and automated reports using yield tools.
- Develop analysis techniques, templates, applications, and best practices using yield tools.
- Create and maintain yield application documentation and deliver training for internal customers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Familiarity with end-to-end semiconductor supply chain manufacturing processes and data.
- Experience leading engineering activities for projects involving data integration, data quality improvement, yield analysis, and quality improvements.
- Experience with yield solutions architecture and design.
- Experience with database design and retrieval languages including Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks, and MS-SQL.
- Familiarity with enterprise semiconductor yield analysis tools such as Exensio Yield, Optimal Plus, and Klarity.
- Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, R, Java, and BASH.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, and PowerBI.
