The role sits at the intersection of Linux systems, hypervisors, and low-level platform software, covering performance analysis, automation, debugging, and development.

What you'll do

- Drive enablement for AMD platforms and GPUs in VMware VCF environments, including readiness activities for internal validation and partner/customer adoption. - Partner with platform and firmware teams to support hardware bring-up and triage issues involving firmware/BIOS settings and OS/hypervisor interactions. - Analyze, debug, and resolve complex issues observed on VMware ESXi at the kernel and system level, driving end-to-end root cause across platform software layers. - Deploy, debug, validate, and optimize VMware’s solution stack on AMD products while validating platform software features. - Perform performance analysis, tuning, and optimization for VMware workloads on AMD platforms, publishing tunings, performance numbers, and best practices. - Build and maintain automation frameworks using Python and scripting to improve validation coverage, debug efficiency, and platform reliability.

What you'll need

- Hands-on experience debugging and resolving issues at the system or hypervisor level in VMware environments, including VMware ESXi. - Working knowledge of Linux systems, hypervisors, and low-level platform software interactions. - Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation frameworks, tooling, and validation. - Ability to collaborate with enterprise customers, OEMs, and OS partners to triage escalations and deliver technical solutions.

Nice to have
