About the role
This Validation Engineer (VE) Co-op role supports the Mobile Solutions Business (MSB) Unit. You will contribute to the validation of high-volume power amplifier products and sub-systems for cellular handset applications.
What you'll do
- Set up tests and gather data for compliance matrix.
- Perform lab testing using RF test equipment and analyze/summarize data.
- Help optimize matching circuits for module performance.
What you'll need
- Circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/GoldenGate/spectreRF.
- Understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability.
- Ability to learn on the job.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Nice to have
- BSEE with emphasis in RF and Power amplifier theory or equivalent.
- MSEE preferred.
- Hands-on experience in lab debugging.
