About the role
As a member of the AMD Datacenter Firmware team, you will develop and deploy platform BIOS solutions supporting the EPYC server product line. The scope includes working across advanced chiplet designs, silicon process technologies, and optimized IO architectures.
What you'll do
- Collaborate on end-to-end firmware flows and component integration, communicating technical design and implementation details. - Design and develop platform BIOS based on silicon and board features. - Participate in triage, debug, and validation processes across the product lifecycle alongside silicon design, platform design, and debug teams. - Write code in C and/or ASM to deliver BIOS solutions for server platforms.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. - Solid knowledge of x86 system architecture. - C programming skills. - Knowledge of server hardware interfaces such as Ethernet, SATA, AHCI, DDR5, PCIe, SPI, I2C, or NVMe. - Familiarity with server BIOS architecture and industry standards, including ACPI, SMBIOS, and PCIe.
Nice to have
- 5+ years experience in BIOS, firmware, or system software development. - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. - x86 assembly experience. - Experience with AMI AptioV BIOS.
