About the role
As a Test Engineer specializing in fiber optic modules and systems, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, performance, and manufacturing readiness.
What you'll do
- Review and interpret product specifications, test requirements, and technical documentation for fiber optic modules, subsystems, and chassis-level systems.
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test methods and procedures for new and existing products.
- Perform calibration, functional testing, validation, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of fiber optic modules and systems.
- Analyze test data to assess product performance, identify trends, investigate deviations, and support corrective actions.
- Document test procedures, setups, configurations, and results.
- Support production ramp, train manufacturing personnel on test procedures, and help improve test efficiency, repeatability, and and yield.
What you'll need
- BS or MS in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with optical, electrical, and general-purpose test instruments, including instrument interfacing and communication interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, GPIB, or serial protocols.
- Experience developing or maintaining automated test software and data-acquisition systems.
- Experience with Python, Visual Basic, or LabVIEW.
- Ability to read, learn, and analyze complex test methods; research solutions; and develop practical, resourceful approaches to technical problems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining careful attention to detail.
