About the role

This role ensures precision-machined aerospace and defense components and assemblies meet customer, quality, and engineering requirements such as AS9100.

What you'll do

• Perform first piece, work-in-process, and final inspection including visual inspections.
• Record and maintain quality records.
• Communicate inspection results, findings, and useful information to the manufacturing team.
• Perform customer First Article Inspection.
• Initiate a Non-Conforming Material Report for any discrepancy.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and internal quality standards.

What you'll need

• Proficient in print reading and GD&T.
• Perform CMM Inspection and Mechanical inspection for in-process and final inspections.
• Experience with operating manual and/or DCC CMMs.
• Identify and record any product quality problem(s).
• Communicate all quality issues to management in a timely manner, along with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Two to three or more years of experience as a quality inspector.
• Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of CMM Manager or MCosmo.
• Experience with Flow Tester, Nikon Video CMM.
