About the role

This role involves shaping KIOXIA’s product roadmap by fostering strategic relationships with customers and ecosystem partners, and analyzing shifts in technology and the broader ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers and partners.
• Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to identify future product needs.
• Act as a technical advisor within KIOXIA, educating internal teams on advancements and shaping technology strategy.
• Represent KIOXIA at industry events to contribute to visibility in the storage ecosystem.
• Engage in open source communities, collaborating on storage-related projects.
• Participate in the evaluation of potential technology partnerships or acquisitions.

What you'll need

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience developing Data Center Infrastructure class Linux software or Enterprise-class storage solutions.
• 10+ years of experience architecting filesystems, block device layer drivers, or data management functionality for storage systems.
• 5+ years of experience evaluating new technologies for partnerships or acquisitions, including market evaluation and technical due diligence.
• Familiarity with the open-source industry, including active participation in community development processes.
• Knowledge of AI workflows, including data access patterns and infrastructure requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of how storage systems interface with software applications.
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring abilities.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a member of a CTO staff or in a similar high-level technical advisory role.
