About the role
This internship involves working with a Silicon Photonics Technology Development (TD) engineer to prepare process flow documentation, analyze inline, electrical, and optical test data, and assess device performance. This role focuses on silicon photonics process development.
What you'll do
- Fabricate and integrate Silicon Photonics process development following documentation and operating instructions.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure device meets specification and verify device's performance.
- Document Inline, Electrical and Optical Test and performance data analysis.
What you'll need
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering (Optical/Electrical/Semiconductor) or related field.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027.
Nice to have
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience.
- Project management skills.
- Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies.
- Strong self-motivation and interest on Silicon Photonics technology.
