About the role
As a System Product Engineer within the Advanced Product Development team, you will lead system-level product development and test strategies across firmware, memory, logic, and peripheral components. The role covers the full product lifecycle from initial definition and New Product Introduction (NPI) to manufacturing and production ramp.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies, screening flows, and recovery strategies across the product lifecycle from NPI to production ramp.
- Drive failure analysis for qualification and yield issues during the NPI phase, pinpointing root causes to improve test coverage, DPPM targets, and process robustness.
- Partner with Test Engineering to develop and maintain test programs on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems, including Advantest and Teradyne platforms.
- Define and implement test stack architecture, test firmware development, and validation aligned with system-level test and product requirements.
- Build and maintain test software infrastructure for automated testing while leveraging data analytics on test and qualification datasets to improve yield.
- Deliver executive-level presentations on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies while mentoring junior engineers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in memory, storage, or system-level product, test, or validation engineering.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor IC design, including simulation, emulation, and manufacturing processes, along with CPU/GPU architecture interactions with memory/storage subsystems.
- Hands-on experience in system and memory testing, failure analysis with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and jammers, and domain expertise in DRAM/NAND and SSD storage technologies.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python, alongside experience using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems such as Advantest and Teradyne.
- Solid knowledge of high-speed interface protocols including NAND (Toggle/ONFI), DDR3-DDR5, LPDDR3-LPDDR5, GDDR3-GDDR6, HBM2/3/3E/4, and PCIe Gen5/Gen6.
Skills: NPI, ATE, Advantest, Teradyne, yield, DRAM/NAND
