About the role
Western Digital is seeking a Technician 4, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance to perform routine and preventative maintenance on tool sets and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimum tool uptime.
What you'll do
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tool sets to ensure they operate within specification. - Troubleshoot and resolve tool issues to maximize tool uptime. - Partner with engineering, vendors, and cross-functional groups to improve tool reliability, reduce MTBF and MTTR, increase MTTPM, and address yield issues. - Prepare data and technical documentation for daily and weekly pass down meetings. - Read and interpret complex schematics, mechanical drawings, vacuum diagrams, flow charts, OEM manuals, and tool repair guides. - Comply with all clean room protocols, safety procedures, and corporate policies.
What you'll need
- Associate’s degree in electronics, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent relevant experience. - 2+ years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience in the semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing industry. - Strong foundational background in pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical disciplines. - Hands-on maintenance experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools across disciplines such as vacuum systems (PVD, CVD, ALD, RIE, IBE, IBD, Dry Etch), lithography (scanners, steppers, tracks, CD SEM), wet etch/plating, or CMP. - Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, mechanical drawings, vacuum diagrams, flow charts, and OEM tool manuals. - Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
