About the role
This role involves developing, maintaining, and delivering technical training for both customer and internal Veeco personnel. The Technical Support Trainer creates training content that supports safe, accurate, and consistent performance of released procedures.
What you'll do
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule training deliveries for internal and customer students.
- Deliver instructor-led training in both in-person and remote learning environments.
- Develop training materials for customer training and internal employee training programs.
- Train personnel to perform released procedures safely, accurately, and consistently.
- Use a Learning Management System to deliver courses, schedule sessions, record attendance, and track course completion.
- Assist Technical Writers by reviewing procedures for technical accuracy, task clarity, and safe execution.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or degree from an Engineering & Applied Technology School plus 5 years of experience in Technical Support or Field Service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Sustaining or providing Technical Support in the semiconductor or technical manufacturing field.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for customer training and skill building.
- Industry experience installing, sustaining, troubleshooting, or supporting Ion Beam or related equipment.
- Ability to safely demonstrate equipment operation, maintenance tasks, and procedural steps using released documentation and approved safety practices.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, fluid delivery, and control system concepts.

- Translates hands-on machinery experience into clear classroom instruction, lab demonstrations, and student performance activities.
