About the role
Applied Materials is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional execution for new product development programs from concept through launch readiness. In this role, you will partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and business stakeholders to align milestones, manage risk, and deliver complex programs on time and within budget.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end program execution for new product development initiatives from concept planning through development, validation, implementation, and launch readiness. - Drive programs through the phase-gate product development process, ensuring alignment on milestones, deliverables, risks, and key decisions at each stage. - Build and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, dependencies, and risk management strategies. - Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and business stakeholders to track deliverables and resolve cross-functional issues. - Lead program reviews and communicate status, risks, mitigation plans, and tradeoffs across scope, schedule, cost, and technical execution. - Monitor program cost performance and support progress against financial and operational objectives.
What you'll need
- Experience in technical program management, project management, or a related role supporting complex product or technology development efforts. - Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment across multiple stakeholders. - Experience building and managing project plans, schedules, dependencies, risks, and deliverables. - Experience supporting new product development or other complex technical programs. - Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and resolve tradeoffs across competing priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or in a similarly complex new product development environment. - Experience working within a phase-gate product development process. - Familiarity with cross-functional product development environments involving engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality.
