About the role
This role supports the development of executable models, simulations, and analytical workflows to inform system behavior of our SoC/IP. This work is critical for risk reduction and requirement definition.
What you'll do
- Understand and define ASIC system requirements based on product specifications and translate system-level requirements into block-level and circuit-level specifications.
- Analyze micro-architecture trade-offs (NoC, caches, memory controllers, coherency fabrics) to optimize performance/power/area/fidelity.
- Work closely with product management, architecture, and SoC design teams to influence product definition, PPA targets, and roadmap decisions.
- Support the development of executable models, simulations, and analytical workflows that inform system behavior.
- Contribute to design documentation and methodology improvements.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering.
- Experience converting document-based to model-based architecture.
- Strong understanding of CPU/GPU microarchitecture, memory hierarchy, and SoC interconnects.
- Familiarity with analytical/simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
- Programming experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript for model automation and analysis.
Nice to have
- Experience performing model driven design using Simulink and auto generated code to define input/output parameters and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.
- Familiarity with firmware, compilers, DV, and RTL design concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to model, simulate, and optimize performance, power, and area.
- Experience with post-silicon performance correlation, root-cause gaps, and updating pre-silicon models to improve fidelity.
