About the role
What you'll do
- Support technology development for semiconductor equipment systems including Ion Beam Deposition and Etch platforms.
- Work hands-on with building, testing, troubleshooting, and generating reports for high vacuum process equipment.
- Develop concepts and drive design and testing of new components/sub-systems across product lines, including advanced systems for high vacuum process equipment.
- Determine system/component specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Perform advanced data and statistical analysis to study system and process output signals and identify/resolve issues.
- Coordinate with mechanical/electrical engineering, marketing, field support, and supply chain groups for system development and improvements.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline with 2 years of experience in electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, or test engineering, or a Master's degree.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including controls, instrumentation, sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, LabVIEW, and machine control systems.
- Hands-on ability to assemble/disassemble complex parts and prototyping/testing experience.
- Experience in analyzing and presenting data using Python, Excel, or other engineering analysis tools.
- Ability to travel up to 20% internationally and domestically.
Nice to have
- Experience with electrical design, troubleshooting, data acquisition, control systems, and 2D CAD systems.
- General knowledge of electrical control systems, PLCs, motion control, interlocks, and machine control architecture is helpful.
