About the role

What you'll do
- Assist with system prototype development and build, providing feedback and communicating solutions to relevant engineers. - Design and perform iterative testing in a systematic manner to ensure systems meet specifications. - Develop workflows for system calibration and data acquisition. - Improve the system commissioning process for consistency and scalability. - Document changes and technical notes throughout product development. - Install finished products at customer sites and conduct site acceptance testing alongside customer demos and applications.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Materials Science. - Demonstrated ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets quickly. - Experience formulating and testing hypotheses independently. - Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% for in-field installations.
Nice to have
- Master's degree, Ph.D., or relevant work experience. - Familiarity or experience with X-ray systems, specifically XRF. - Experience in Python scripting. - Experience with hardware control, including motion control systems and automation/robotics. - Familiarity or experience with optics and microscopes. - Understanding of semiconductor industry trends.
