About the role
As a Systems Engineer at Lam Research, you will design frameworks, systems, and products for wafer fabrication equipment, defining system specifications and compatibility to integrate hardware, software, and firmware. The role focuses on engineering product development across etch and deposition products.
What you'll do
- Develop system and subsystem requirements, assist in project scope requests, and manage system-level risks. - Create system specifications for subsystems of the transport module and manage design tradeoffs. - Define and execute test plans, design experiments to characterize subsystems, and perform hands-on lab work. - Analyze test data using Statistical Analysis of Variation and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods. - Present test plans, test data, technical proposals, and tradeoffs to cross-functional teams. - Contribute to a data analytics suite written in Python.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 6 years with a Master's degree, or a PhD and 3 years experience (or equivalent work experience). - Experience developing system specifications and integrating hardware, software, and firmware. - Demonstrated experience designing experiments, executing hands-on lab work, and defining test plans. - Proficiency analyzing data using Statistical Analysis of Variation and SPC methods. - Experience programming with Python to contribute to data analytics tools. - Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams spanning hardware, controls, software, and manufacturing.
