Focus on pre-silicon emulation debug, boot flows, and low-power states such as S0i3 for SOC designs.

About the role

This role focuses on pre-silicon emulation debug, development, and validation of complex boot flows, connections, and peripherals in SOC designs. You will validate silicon designs and implement shift-left initiatives across pre-silicon IP and system validation.

What you'll do

- Work with pre-silicon tools and concepts such as emulation, FPGA, software models, and N-1 silicon usage across pre-to-post-silicon initiatives. - Contribute to high-priority issue debug and execution on critical microprocessor product development projects. - Drive capabilities and technologies to enhance system validation quality and coverage prior to silicon arrival. - Lead defining shift left strategies for new products with customers and define key metrics to track improvements. - Coordinate with program-specific technical leads, including the product Lead System Engineer and product Silicon Evaluation Lead.

What you'll need

- Bachelor, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or a related degree. - Understanding of microprocessor product development and computer system architecture. - Experience with pre-silicon emulation tools, FPGA, or software models for hardware, firmware, and software validation. - Knowledge of Verilog, C, C++, assembly, TCL/TK, Python, or other scripting languages.

Nice to have

- 7+ years of semiconductor development with focused experience in emulation and shift left technologies and processes. - Hands-on experience validating low-power states such as S0i3 in pre-silicon emulation environments, including debug of entry/exit flows and dependencies across firmware and hardware components. - Demonstrated success in product verification, emulation, and post silicon validation.
