About the role
This role involves managing Hard Disk Drive (HDD) inventory, executing customer testing, and updating firmware within a System Integration Test (SIT) lab environment.
What you'll do
- Manage Hard Disk Drive (HDD) inventory, including loading and unloading drives in customer systems.
- Track and record inventory, providing general lab support, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
- Execute customer testing, including performance benchmarks and electrical tests.
- Update firmware and report problems to the engineering team.
- Adhere to SIT lab test procedures and communicate written and verbal status.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
What you'll need
- Working knowledge of Linux system environments.
- Ability to set up complex computer systems.
- Basic understanding of system error logs.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to work with test equipment, such as bus analyzers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience using pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Experience using hand tools or powered screwdrivers.
