Precision ADC solutions spanning 8 to 32 bits for datacenter, automotive, and industrial signal chains.
About the role
As a Systems Engineer on the Precision Analog-to-Digital Converter (ASC-DCC-PADC) team, you will translate customer system-level requirements into precision ADC product definitions. The role focuses on precision ADCs spanning 8 to 32 bits across datacenter, automotive, industrial, and medical instrumentation applications.
What you'll do
- Analyze customer systems and end-equipment across datacenter, automotive, and industrial markets to identify analog signal chain technical challenges. - Develop short- and long-term product roadmaps grounded in system-level insights, market trends, and customer engagement. - Author detailed product specifications, including target specs, system block diagrams, and competitive benchmarking for precision ADC solutions. - Negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers to balance performance, power, area, and cost. - Drive execution from initial concept through RTM, supporting customers through design-in and volume production phases. - Author technical documentation and collateral, including application notes, reference designs, white papers, and datasheets.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. - 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, applications engineering, or analog/mixed-signal IC design. - Hands-on experience with analog signal chains, including ADCs, amplifiers, voltage references, or related components. - Experience developing differentiated product roadmaps tied to market and customer insights. - Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal IC specifications and their system-level implications. - Experience promoting/marketing ICs and driving design wins through system-level solutions across the product development lifecycle.
Nice to have
- Expertise in precision ADC architectures, including SAR, Delta-Sigma, and Pipeline architectures. - Experience with signal chain system design, including noise budgeting, dynamic range analysis, anti-aliasing filters, and grounding/layout best practices. - Familiarity with application domains such as control systems, power measurement, data acquisition, or ADAS. - Ability to model and simulate signal chain performance.
