What you'll do
- Develop and implement data collection, cleaning, and transformation pipelines for design and test data sources.
- Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms to identify patterns, anomalies, and correlations.
- Create predictive models for circuit performance, reliability, and yield.
- Design and execute experiments to validate models and evaluate data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data science solutions into existing workflows.
- Communicate complex analytical findings through visualizations and reports.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience applying data science and machine learning techniques to engineering problems.
- Proficiency in Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and R.
- Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis), and deep learning architectures.
- Understanding of semiconductor design flows, analog circuit fundamentals, and system-level architectures.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with data warehousing, SQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

How we counted: 508 open AI/ML Hardware Engineering (AI ML Hardware) roles from 79 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 10 Sept 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Software, Firmware & Systems family row. Figures refresh nightly.
