About the role
This role involves leading qualification projects for advanced technologies and participating in supplier quality activities. The position focuses on ensuring products and materials comply with specifications and reliability expectations for power-semiconductor materials.
What you'll do
- Ensure products and materials comply with applicable drawings, specifications, manufacturing requirements, quality standards, and reliability expectations.
- Lead supplier development and quality improvement activities across new product introduction, new technology introduction, qualification, and mass production.
- Drive APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, DFM/DFQ, process validation, measurement-system readiness, and qualification evidence for assigned commodities and suppliers.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, identify adverse trends and systemic risks, and lead improvement plans for poor-performing or high-risk suppliers.
- Lead rapid containment, structured root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, effectiveness verification, and recurrence prevention for supplier-related quality issues.
- Plan and conduct supplier system, process, product, qualification, and special-process audits.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- +8 years of relevant experience in semiconductor engineering, manufacturing, quality, supplier quality, or supplier development.
- Demonstrated expertise in AMB/DCB and ceramic processing, material joining and welding technologies, electroless and electrolytic plating processes, soldering and sintering materials and processes, or material characterization.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, DFM/DFQ, process certification, and process-robustness principles.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, schematics, test methods, and supplier technical documentation.
- Strong structured problem-solving and data-analysis capability.
Nice to have
- Experience in power semiconductor products or materials.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent mastery of Six Sigma methods.
- IPMA, PMP, or equivalent certification.
- IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and certified Lead Auditor qualifications.
