About the role
This role involves supervising manufacturing operations for assembly, vacuum processing, and wet etch operations for the manufacture and assembly of echucks and other coated products within the Specialty Coatings Teams.
What you'll do
- Supervise and lead a team of technicians in the Echucks and Coatings departments.
- Lead the shift to maintain a safe work environment and meet key quality metrics including scrap and first pass yield.
- Lead the shift team to meet delivery metrics for the shift including schedule adherence, shift output, and OEE.
- Lead investigations into quality issues on the production floor and drive cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Facilitate the daily Tier meeting program on the production floor and conduct regular floor walks to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Utilize SAP for material movement and maintain discipline in system usage; use Camline systems for SPC.
What you'll need
- 5-10 years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to work with chemicals.
- SAP background or similar ERP system background for production planning.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree.
Nice to have
- Experience leading 8D with minimal assistance for safety gaps and quality gaps.
- Experience with 6S initiatives and GEMBA walks.
