About the role
This role involves leading an operations team at Wolfspeed's Durham Manufacturing Site, overseeing each aspect of the production process, and providing vital information on production goals. The position is for a Night Shift schedule.
What you'll do
- Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the floor.
- Monitor team and individual performance, evaluating and improving productivity, equipment utilization, and overall efficiency.
- Support 5S activities across the entire floor.
- Establish and communicate production priorities, tracking performance, and adjusting priorities accordingly.
- Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide team with constructive and timely feedback, enforcing company and local policies and procedures.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization.
What you'll need
- Associate degree or higher in a related field.
- Manufacturing experience.
- 1-2+ years in a leadership role.
- Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently.
