About the role
This internship position is with Applied Materials' AGS surface technology team, which develops surface treatments on equipment components including recycle cleanings and passivation. The role involves hands-on laboratory work in a chemistry lab utilizing metrology tools to support component surface engineering.
What you'll do
- Assist with laboratory projects and develop analysis methods for complicated issues. - Conduct parts and materials analysis using SEM, Laser Microscope, and other analysis tools. - Work with project owners to conduct communication HW development, troubleshooting, and functionality testing. - Support experiment data acquisition, data processing, and technical reporting.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree (or PhD) in a Science or Engineering area, such as Materials, Chemicals, or Physics. - Hands-on experience with materials characterization. - Familiarity with materials processing.
Nice to have
- GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
