About the role
This role supports projects focused on business process improvement, supply chain optimization, operational excellence, cost reduction, and performance analytics. You will gain exposure to a global service organization supporting a multi-billion-dollar business with a complex logistics network and a broad portfolio of products and services.
What you'll do
- Support analysis of business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance performance.
- Gather, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
- Assist in developing dashboards, reports, presentations, and executive-ready deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, and service organizations.
- Conduct research, benchmarking, and data-driven analyses to support strategic business initiatives.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of process improvement solutions.
- Help document business processes, requirements, and project outcomes.
What you'll need
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Interest in operations, supply chain, data analytics, process improvement, or business strategy.
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university program and returning to school following the internship.
Nice to have
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or other analytics tools.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related disciplines.
