About the role
This internship involves studying the architecture of 77 GHz automotive radar receivers, focusing on N-path circuits. The role specifically investigates the integration of charge-pump mixers within these radar receivers.
What you'll do
- Learn and understand the operating principles of charge-pump N-path mixers.
- Understand mixer sizing and optimization to meet automotive radar requirements.
- Design and/or utilize fundamental building blocks used in millimeter-wave radar receivers (e.g., matching networks, LNAs, baseband amplifiers).
- Build and simulate a radar receiver incorporating a charge-pump mixer using Cadence design tools.
- Develop the circuit layout and perform post-layout simulations.
What you'll need
- Familiarity with RF/mmWave CAD design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and ADS Momentum.
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals.
- Strong interest in millimeter-wave circuit design.
- Interest in the electronic circuit design and development process.
