About the role
This individual leads, plans, synthesizes requirements, and performs end-to-end system-level testing of Qualcomm WLAN chipsets and software across multiple product verticals.
What you'll do
- Own test strategy, execution, defect triage, and automation for one or more functional test horizontals.
- Collaborate with WLAN firmware, host driver, and product teams to ensure high software quality.
- Interpret wireless specifications and define test scope, design test plans, scenarios, and procedures.
- Develop and enhance test automation scripts for assigned functional areas (e.g., Functional, Performance, Certification, IOT, Regulatory, Stability).
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on test failures, file/track CRs/JIRAs using a bug tracking system, and report defects.
- Collect information and identify patterns/trends related to systems testing to document system-level defects.
What you'll need
- Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.
- Experience with end-to-end system-level testing of WLAN chipsets and software.
- Proficiency in developing and enhancing test automation scripts.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) on test failures.
- Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
- Understanding of wireless specifications.
