About the role
This role involves developing key features for Windows on Snapdragon products as part of an Agile Scrum Team. The position focuses on the end-to-end lifecycle of Windows-on-Snapdragon product lines.
What you'll do
- Gather requirements, design, and develop key features on Windows on Snapdragon products.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to bring up, support, triage, and unblock issues on Qualcomm chipsets.
- Apply strong software development skills to the product lifecycle.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python.
- Embedded Windows software programming skills.
- Solid understanding of Operating System concepts.
- Windows kernel debug and development experience.
- Strong understanding of C/C++, Shell Scripting or Python skills and hands-on experience on debugging ARM or other SoC embedded systems.
Nice to have
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- C/C++ programming.
- Windows OS internals knowledge and experience.
- Device driver programming and debugging with WinDbg, JTAG.
- Processor architecture and cache subsystem.
- Experience with PC software - System BIOS, UEFI, ACPI, Drivers, Applications.
- ARM assembly.
- Windows OS (Kernel architecture, OS services, heap, memory, multi-core, multi-threading, and crash debugging).
- Knowledge of OS/system performance profiling and optimization techniques.
- Working experience with QEMU modeling and debug.
