About the role
The Staff Test Engineer develops test programs and solutions across NPI, qualification, characterization, and production ramp initiatives. The scope focuses on automated test development for analog, digital, and mixed-signal devices with an emphasis on analog power product testing.
What you'll do
- Develop test programs to support NPI, quality, and capability initiatives. - Support qualification, characterization, correlation, production yield, and customer return activities. - Implement baseline software and hardware test solutions to scale testing flows with revenue, COGS, and capacity targets. - Act as a test platform expert on ATE equipment, supporting lab calibration, maintenance, and hardware/software reviews. - Coordinate with product engineering and operations to enable production ramps and release to manufacturing. - Train, guide, and mentor junior engineers across test execution processes and specifications.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. - 8 to 12+ years of experience working with Automated Test Systems (ATE). - 8 to 12+ years of hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital, and mixed signal, with a focus on analog power product testing. - Programming experience in C++, BASIC, Perl, or Python. - Experience testing and collecting data on IC chips or circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers. - Proficiency with ATE analog and digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, and debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces.
