About the role
This individual leads, plans, and performs the complex responsibility of leveraging advanced Modem knowledge to design, implement, verify, validate, and commercialize Wireless WAN (or cellular) modem air interface RAN technologies software.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, verify, validate, and commercialize Wireless WAN (cellular) modem air interface RAN technologies software.
- Work on Modem access stratum and RF SW design, optimizations & algorithms, and with the RFFE team to define modem IP architecture, RFFE design, HW APIs, core systems algorithms, and HW/SW/co-processor architecture.
- Implement critical transceiver, HW control, and wireless Radio Access Stratum software for multi-RAT (Radio Access Technology) from industry specifications (3GPP with LTE and 5GNR).
- Develop models, code, and/or simulations, weighing tradeoffs against loosely defined requirements.
- Lead and develop an automation test framework in the RF SW team to verify functionality and performance of designs for various modules in RFFE.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze mmWave performance big data to improve the product for customer experience.
What you'll need
- Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.
- Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.
- Advanced Modem knowledge.
- Experience with Wireless WAN (or cellular) modem air interface RAN technologies software.
- Experience with Modem access stratum and RF SW design.
- Experience working with the RFFE team to define modem IP architecture, RFFE design, HW APIs, core systems algorithms, and HW/SW/co-processor architecture.
