About the role
This role involves comprehensive RF engineering for 800G/1.6T module-level and 128Gbaud component-level designs, focusing on RF channel routing, PCB material selection, and RF testing.
What you'll do
- Plan RF channel routing, PCB material selection, and stack-up definition for 800G/1.6T module-level and 128Gbaud component-level test boards.
- Perform all RF simulation items, including 3D EM modeling, RF optimization of interfaces, passive channel simulation, and full channel simulation with chip electrical models.
- Conduct channel simulation for RF performance comparison of different chips or parameter configurations in electrical models.
- Confirm EVB/MB/FPC performance through RF testing.
- Locate and investigate RF-related problems, including RMA, during product testing stages.
- Provide RF technical support, communicate with vendors (PCB, FPC, PKG, connector, chip), and learn new RF technologies.
What you'll need
- Bachelor/Master degree in electronic information engineering, communication engineering, microwave technology or related majors.
- Familiarity with signal integrity theory and microwave theory.
- 5 years or more experience in high-speed optical-electronics products.
- Familiarity with at least one 3D EM field solver tool (HFSS, CST, EMpro).
- Familiarity with at least one channel simulation solver tool (ADS, Circuit).
- Familiarity with commonly used PCB materials, Dk/Df parameters, and common process parameters of PCB manufacturing.
- Familiarity with lab instruments such as TDR, PNA, Probe, and instrument calibration methods.
- Ability to independently complete RF test, S-parameter/TDR test data processing/analysis.
Nice to have
- Experience in 800G/1.6T module MB simulation and optimization.
- Experience in RF problem analysis and location.
