About the role

The Staff Product Manager drives end-to-end product strategy for the WBC division, spanning 5G NR/LTE modems, FWA platform chipsets, and broadband gateway solutions. The position owns product vision from silicon architecture through commercial launch and lifecycle management across chipset engineering, carrier ecosystems, and platform software.

What you'll do

  • Define and own multi-generation product roadmaps for 6G, 5G NR, and LTE-based FWA chipsets, CPE platforms, and modem solutions.
  • Translate carrier, OEM/ODM, and ecosystem requirements into detailed PRDs and MRDs with KPI tracking across throughput, coverage, latency, system cost, and reliability.
  • Define carrier-grade hardware requirements covering multi-core CPU architectures, DDR, QoS, WAN, LAN, and WLAN.
  • Lead product strategy for Wi-Fi integration within FWA gateway platforms across modem, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7/8, BLE, mesh, IPv4/IPv6, QoS, SD-WAN, and security frameworks.
  • Align chipset silicon milestones, hardware schedules, carrier certification timelines, and platform software schedules with silicon releases.
  • Engage directly with Tier-1 carriers, OEMs, ODMs, and strategic partners to validate roadmaps, close design wins, and represent the team at 3GPP, Wi-Fi Alliance, and Broadband Forum events.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience (or an advanced degree in a relevant field substituted for up to two years).
  • Experience defining product requirements and roadmaps for hardware or software platforms.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, system architecture, and customer-facing teams.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications, or an MBA.
  • 10+ years of Product Management experience with direct responsibility for end-to-end product lifecycle management, or 15+ years of experience with 5+ years in cellular chipset, modem, or wireless broadband platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in 4G LTE and 5G NR cellular technologies, modem architecture, and FWA or broadband CPE product management.
  • Deep knowledge of chipset platform architectures, cellular standards (3GPP Releases 15–18), FWA chipset families (e.g., Qualcomm SDX/QMX platforms), and carrier certification processes.
  • Experience with RDK-B, prplOS, and OpenWRT broadband software ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi 6/6E/7/8 standards, Bluetooth Low Energy, mesh, SD-WAN, QoS, and device security frameworks.
  • Experience launching carrier-grade FWA, broadband gateway, or wireless networking products at scale with Tier-1 carriers.
  • Experience managing operating budgets, project financials, or third-party business agreements and strategic partnerships.
