About the role
This role involves leading the development and release of power module products, covering feasibility, design, simulation, test, lab evaluation, and qualification. The position focuses on power module product research and development within Analog Devices' µModule Group.
What you'll do
- Lead new power module product development from definition through release.
- Collaborate with marketing, applications teams, and customers on architectural decisions.
- Develop innovative techniques for advanced products and technology applications.
- Identify project technical risks, define mitigating strategies, and establish milestones.
- Enhance product development flows and qualities through advanced tools and methodologies.
- Perform lab evaluation and debug.
What you'll need
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience in switching power converter design and development.
- Strong foundation in analog circuit, power electronics, and power management systems.
- Strong DC/DC power converter (Buck, Boost) design and optimization experience.
- Solid knowledge and experience of transformer-based power converters (Flyback, forward, half-bridge, full bridge).
- Strong analytic skills, including power converter modeling, control architecture, loop design, and static/dynamic performance optimizations.
- Familiarity with circuit design/simulation/optimization tools (SPICE/LTspice, Simplis, MathCAD/Matlab, Ansys/Maxwell) and lab equipment for power applications.
- Strong hardware and circuit debugging skills.
- Magnetic design and simulation, thermal analysis knowledge and experiences.
Nice to have
- MSEE or Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics.
- Firmware, DPS or FPGA programming and I2C/PMbus experience.
- Analog IC design knowledge.
