About the role
This role involves working with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop force sensing and haptics actuator modules and bring them to mass production. Your work will focus on integrating these modules into products such as Laptops, Mobile phones, Automotive steering wheels & smart surfaces, Fitness Trackers, and Industrial display panels.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute electro-mechanical designs from concept to fabrication backed by engineering analysis.
- Assist in fabrication, assembly, and testing activities from Proof-of-Concepts to mass production projects.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and electromagnetic simulation and optimization on module designs.
- Travel to manufacturing partners (domestic and international) to help bring up production line.
- Travel to customer locations (domestic and international) to provide technical support.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of work experience designing real world products.
- Creative problem solving in designing electro-mechanical assemblies from concept to fabrication.
- Working knowledge of fabrication methods such as CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing, sheet metal stamping, and assembly techniques.
- Excellent skill in 3D CAD modeling mechanical drawing.
- Good understanding of materials, structural mechanics, sensors, and electromagnetic actuators.
- Familiarity with DFM (design for manufacturing) and performance and reliability testing.
- Working knowledge of electronics and circuits.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication and assembly tools (including 3D printing, laser cutting).
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Nice to have
- Consumer electronics experience.
- Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools such as COMSOL.
Skills: electro-mechanical designs, fabrication, assembly, FEA, electromagnetic simulation, DFM

How we counted: 3759 open Semiconductor Equipment Engineering (Manufacturing Equipment) roles from 83 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 14 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
