About the role
The Staff Manufacturing Engineer supports the execution of new product introductions through hands-on manufacturing support, rapid response to design changes, and technical ownership of assembly and integration activities. The focus centers on engineering and pilot builds for optical and metrology systems.
What you'll do
- Support NPI execution for optical and metrology systems during engineering and pilot builds. - Execute and refine assembly, integration, and test processes. - Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, build travelers, and process flows. - Adapt to late-stage design changes while maintaining build quality and schedule. - Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions during builds.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. - Minimum 8 years of experience supporting new product development in manufacturing. - Strong technical problem-solving and hands-on execution skills. - Ability to travel internationally to customer sites at least 20% of the time, with additional travel as business needs require.
