About the role
This Staff Integration Engineer role involves leading the development of new, novel, and fully customized technologies within the Advanced Technology Services (ATS) group. You will leverage the advanced capabilities of a semiconductor fab to enable customers to progress from idea/proof of concept through product qualification and transfer to volume manufacturing, specifically for technologies like superconducting ICs, quantum computing devices, carbon nanotube devices, MEMs, Bio sensors, DNA sequencing devices, Si photonics, and III-V devices.
What you'll do
- Develop comprehensive process flows for wafer manufacturing.
- Collaborate with CAD engineers to validate incoming layout files and construct frames with metrology boxes and electrical test structures.
- Implement data collection schemes and collaborate with process and tool experts to formulate process recipes.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate and optimize process recipes.
- Liaise with the failure analysis lab for sample cross-sectioning to aid continuous improvement.
- Monitor customer material and proactively address processing issues.
- Conduct regular meetings with customers, providing project progress updates and delivering process reviews.
What you'll need
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Eng, Materials Science, Chemical Eng, Physics, or related discipline.
- BS and 5 years or MS and 3 years or PhD and 0-3 years of engineering experience in a semiconductor fab or lab environment.
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a large cross-functional program environment.
- U.S. Person required (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to ITAR compliance.
Nice to have
- PhD in a related field.
- Research experience in materials used in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Exposure to various aspects of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
