About the role
Tensordyne is looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to own hardware system development across schematics, PCB layout, mechanical design, component selection, EVT/DVT/PVT testing, and certification. The role involves designing and bringing up development systems, reference platforms, and volume products around a custom AI ASIC.
What you'll do
- Own multiple aspects of hardware system engineering for flagship AI products. - Gather requirements and specifications from engineering, product, and operations teams to plan and implement hardware system deliverables from lab bringup artifacts to shipping products. - Execute schematic capture, PCB design, and related hardware system engineering around a custom AI ASIC. - Plan compliance, validation, and FMEA analysis for products. - Drive hardware parts selection and vendor qualification processes in collaboration with manufacturing operations.
What you'll need
- B.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. - 7+ years of hardware engineering experience and familiarity with product-cycle aspects. - Hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB design, with understanding of signal integrity, mechanical, and thermal design areas. - Experience in part selection, AVL management, and working with manufacturing operations teams. - Understanding of CPU subsystems, modern power subsystem designs, and expertise in HW bringup. - Experience representing engineering considerations in contract manufacturing relationships.
Nice to have
- Demonstrable experience with EVT, DVT, PVT testing, and certification processes.
