About the role
As a Staff Field Applications Engineer, you lead account-level technology strategy, guide solution design, and help customers optimize system architectures across Micron's memory portfolio. The role focuses on automotive and embedded memory technologies including LP5x, LP6, UFS, and embedded SSD.
What you'll do
- Provide memory architecture advice, memory product recommendations, technical training, and solution development for customers. - Visit customers regularly to identify new business, evaluate ongoing projects, address technical concerns, and anticipate future requirements. - Serve as the central point of contact for customer technical support during critical issues, collaborating with multi-functional factory teams through issue resolution. - Work with internal marketing and development teams to evaluate the feasibility of new products or features to meet customer specifications. - Partner with Sales to build and execute strategic account plans and track progress against key technical and business objectives.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field of study. - Proven experience in system design, system test, system validation, or memory-focused application engineering. - Experience with memories in automotive or embedded systems, including LP5x, LP6, UFS, and embedded SSD. - Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working as an applications engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer. - Experience utilizing artificial intelligence tools.
